I'm so glad you're here.

My love for real estate stems from my experience as an educator and a desire to help others attain their dream home, no matter their life circumstances.

My love for real estate stems from my experience as an educator and a desire to help others attain their dream home, no matter their life circumstances.

About Me

Born out of a passion for education, my journey began in Gallatin, TN, where I embarked on a 35-year teaching career, nurturing young minds at Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet in downtown Nashville. It was the profound connections forged with students through the prism of literature that fueled my love for teaching, leaving me with countless cherished memories.

Nashville became my home during my college years at Vanderbilt University, beckoning me with its vibrant culture and warm community. Embracing the city's essence, I explored local gems like Rotier's and knew that Music City had captured my heart indefinitely.

After graduation, life led me to Sumner County, where I planted roots and purchased my first home in Gallatin. Despite its challenges—a dilapidated property overrun by critters—I found solace in the process of transforming it into a haven for my family. This endeavor ignited my passion for home design, laying the foundation for my future endeavors.

As life unfolded, I navigated through changes, including a divorce and subsequent remarriage, which prompted a move to Nashville. With my husband by my side, we embarked on a quest to find our perfect neighborhood, attending countless open houses and forging lasting friendships with real estate professionals along the way. Eventually, we discovered our dream home in Lockeland Springs, where we continue to build memories and cherish the bonds we've formed.

Lockeland Springs became more than just a neighborhood for me; it became a canvas where I could express my love for homes. Serving on the neighborhood association board and dedicating over 15 years to organizing the annual home tour allowed me to indulge in my passion for connecting with neighbors and showcasing the unique character of our community. Despite facing challenges like the recent pandemic, the opportunity to engage with residents and share in their stories was a privilege I cherished. Little did I know, this experience would prepare me for my future endeavors in real estate.

Transitioning into the realm of real estate at RE/MAX Choice Properties, I found a seamless integration of my background in education and my newfound passion for homes. Guiding clients through the intricacies of buying and selling properties, I draw upon my expertise as an educator to ensure they are well-informed and empowered throughout the process. Continuing my education in real estate, I have obtained certifications such as e-Pro, SRES, ABR, and GRI, enriching my understanding of the market and enhancing my ability to serve diverse clientele.

Despite my professional commitments, my dedication to community engagement remains unwavering. I continue to contribute to the Lockeland Springs Neighborhood Association and actively participate in initiatives like the home tour committee. Additionally, my involvement in organizations like the YMCA Center for Civic Engagement and volunteer work at Warner Elementary School reflects my ongoing commitment to education and community development.

Reflecting on my journey, I am grateful for the unexpected joys and opportunities that real estate has brought into my life. From empowering young individuals, especially women, to achieve financial security through homeownership to fostering meaningful relationships within our community, every aspect of this journey has been immensely fulfilling. I invite you to embark on this journey with me as we work together to find your perfect "home."
